Nashaya's journey began January 2011 with a routine trip to the doctor. The doctor found her blood pressure to be elevated. They also said that her weight was a little bit above her peers. Nashaya took this opportunity to do something healthier, for herself. She joined her brother’s track team. What started off as an endeavor to get a little exercise has grown into something that she could see. She has slimmed down, and we no longer have to worry about her blood pressure. Her confidence has grown so much. Through trial and error, hard work and determination, she has found her niche in the 1500 meter race walk. Thus, her quest to make it to the Junior Olympics begins. She has qualified in the 1500 meter race walk. The USA Track and Field Junior Olympics in Baltimore, MD July 23rd. With the anticipation of going comes the realization that we have to be able to get her there. We NEED your help. Any little bit will make a difference and help. Thank you all for your love and support.
