On 6/3/2010 our family was changed forever when my youngest daughter Katrina ("Trina"), age 21 then, had massive seizures, leaving her in a vegetative, non-cognitive state. She was placed in a skilled nursing facility in Southern California. Our family had to relocate for one year until we brought her home in May of 2011.  We have learned that on Medi-cal, her covered costs for care are limited. Treatments that might help her condition are not covered. We are hoping that through continued donations she can continue receiving acupuncture, which has helped her physical body remain healthy and natural. Also, we hope to be able to take her to specialists or a more assertive specialty hospital care - all of which takes money.  We must rely on God and prayers but especially the generosity of others through donations, no matter how small, for her care to advance. Trina deserves a 2nd chance at life. She is a wonderful young lady and we believe in a hope and a future for her as God promises in His Word. She is not cognitive yet but she is advancing in other ways (like standing with human assistance).
