Hi, my name is Roger Arnoldo Morales Zeledon.
I’m an engineering student from Nicaragua, and I’m raising funds to continue my education in Japan after my university was shut down.

I began studying Engineering in 2019 at Universidad Centroamericana (UCA), where I spent three years fully committed to my degree. In 2023, the university closed its academic operations, which prevented many students — including me — from completing our studies or transferring through normal processes. As a result, my academic progress was unexpectedly interrupted.

Since then, continuing higher education locally has become uncertain for me. Rather than giving up on my goals, I began looking for a stable and reliable academic environment where I could continue my engineering education and build on the work I had already completed.

At the same time, I’ve been working to support my family. My parents are retired doctors who both live with chronic health conditions, which limits their ability to support me financially. Because of this, I contribute to household expenses while continuing to plan my academic future.

Despite these challenges, I’ve kept preparing. I’m disciplined, persistent, and deeply committed to learning. Alongside work and family responsibilities, I’ve been studying Japanese on my own — my third language — to prepare for life and studies abroad.

I am now preparing to pursue my engineering degree at Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS). Studying engineering in Japan would allow me to continue my education in a stable setting and gain practical skills to build a secure future for myself and my family.

My goal is to raise $25,000 USD, which will help cover:

• Tuition and academic fees

• Housing and living expenses

• Visa, travel, and insurance

• Essential study materials
