A few days ago, I discovered a stray mother dog with 9 newborn puppies, abandoned near my child’s nursery. With the unusually cold weather Cyprus is experiencing right now and freezing nights, we knew they wouldn’t survive much longer on the streets. Together with some fellow rescuers, we immediately organised an emergency rescue operation. We managed to safely trap and rescue 6 puppies. For the mother and the remaining 3 puppies we couldn’t catch yet, we left food, water, and a sheltered house, and we will continue trying to bring them to safety as soon as possible. The rescued puppies were taken to NDS, a shelter that is already full to the brim but still couldn’t turn their backs on these innocent souls. Now we need help. The minimum we can do is support the shelter with their expenses. The full course of vaccinations, deworming, and flea treatment costs approximately €100 per puppy. Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference. Your support helps give these puppies a chance at life, warmth, health, and a future.
