Today, our family can finally breathe a little easier. Federal prosecutors have dismissed the case against Marimar—something we have been praying and fighting for since this nightmare began.
On October 4th, 2025, Marimar was shot and injured during an encounter with Border Patrol agents while trying to protect our community from ICE raids. She was falsely portrayed as a threat and labeled a “domestic terrorist.” These past months have been filled with fear, worry, and uncertainty about her future, yet Marimar has shown incredible resilience and never stopped fighting for her innocence.
None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our family, friends, and community. Your voices, your prayers, and your love lifted Marimar when she needed it most.
