David Barrass hasn't added a story.
After 44 years of service to LU (TfL), Ian had decided to hang up his HiVi, and ride off into the sunset and enjoy retirement after a long career.
Ian first started as an apprentice in September 1979. This was a 4 year Signal Technician Apprenticeship that led on to the role of an Automatic Equipment Technician (AET), now known as a Technical Officer (TO).
Ian was promoted to the role of a Signal Operational Manager in 1989 up until 1992, when he moved into the world of Safety on the Track Training working at various locations, before settling at Stratford Training centre.
Ian is a very proud family man, married to his lovely wife Debbie and they have three boys who have all now finished their education.
So now it's time for Ian to finish his career and enjoy retirement with his family.
Ian's last day at work will be Friday 26th April and has a retirement event planned for 17th May in Penderels Oak cellar bar at Holborn from 15:00 onwards, if you would like to come along and celebrate with Ian and wish him a long and happy retirement.

If you would like to wish Ian well on his retirement, please leave a message and there is also the option to make a contribution to a retirement gift if you would like to.
