Hello fundrazrs. My name is Ovidiu Bujor, I am a photographer based in Romania, creating fine art photography.
I have project, called ”Ghosts of a communist past” part of my series ”Urban explorer”. The projects consists in visiting all abandoned communist factories around the country, the ones still standing or part of them, creating nude fine art photography, as a hole collection.
The problem that I have is traveling costs around the country for this project. The country has 42 counties, and to visit all of them takes time and money.
It is not about traveling in style, it is about creating something to remember. In every city there are old communist industrial platforms turned to ruins in the last 33 years and most of them will disappear in the next decade, turning them into modern apartments and shopping areas.
The legacy and history will al be lost.
Helping me get funding with this project will help preserve, at least in photography the memory of this places.
As a contributor you will get access over my website on updates, photos that I take in this places and the contributors above 100€, will get at the end a printed album numbered and signed by me and the model that I am traveling with, you will get to be acknowledged as a contributor on the albums credits page. Besides that you will get a digital collection of the best photos that I take in this places, in full resolution to have them printed at a printing lab of your choice.
There is a lot of work to be done and time is running out because the constructions are degrading with time, parts of them are stolen and most of them turning into construction sites for big profits.
