For those of you who don't know me, my name is Andrew Lee, I'm an American ESL teacher in Ensenada, Mexico.
I
also help to raise funds for the adult 12-step based drug and alcohol
treatment center Unidad de Tratamiento Francisco Delgado. My patron is
Juan Jose Delgado Martinez (pictured above in white shirt). We have
two locations down here, one in Colony 89, the other in San Vicente,
up in the mountains. That's where I'm physically located. I graduated
from Kingwood High School in Houston, Texas. I went to the University
of Oklahoma.
Ok,
guys, this is a new fund raising campaign. Our last one ended a couple
of weeks ago and, although we didn't reach our goal, we went for it,
and a lot of you guys in the United States and Canada responded, and
we at Unidad de Tratamiento Francisco Delgado are eternally grateful.
We didn't do too bad, and every American and Canadian dollar improves
lives down here.
The purpose of this campaign is to achieve the following: provide aid to the orphans of "Oracion Cambia las Cosas" (whom you see pictured here with us), finish repairing our roofs, finish the two vocational buildings (welding and carpentry), paint the entire exterior, and convert one of our stand-a-lone buildings into a badly-needed tool shed.

don't expect everyone to be able to give. If you're not able to, would

Our
whole deal is improving a struggling society. Addicts and alcoholics
have it twice as hard down here. Poverty is the second gorilla they
have to deal with. So, we are teaching them English. We are training
them in welding and carpentry and car mechanics. We eventually want to
bring this type of training and education into the orphanages, as well.
The cause you are supporting, this one, is a grand one, one you will see unfold before your eyes through picture montages on my FB page. The funds go where they are supposed to, and you guys, like before, like always, will see the proof. Thank you.
