UPDATE: Thanks to all who have contributed and shared. Here is the update on the mother and child facing eviction:
Yesterday, Tuesday, May 21st, two county based agencies said they will provide financial assistance. However, together they will only provide about two thirds of the rest of the money owed if the mother can bring the remaining third which is about $1200 by the day after tomorrow, Friday, May 24th.
As of now, we have raised $500 of her portion thru this campaign, and have $700 remaining to raise in order to help the mother meet her portion in order to get the rental assistance from these two agencies.

Update as of 5/18: Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this campaign so far! Because the mother was able to pay part of the back rent owed with the money that was raised so far, the judge has extended the deadline to June 3rd. We will continue to help fund raise for the family. Our original goal was $5,400. As of the original deadline, May 17th, we raised $1,980. We are now raising the balance of the goal which is $3,420. Please donate and share to support a mom and daughter to stay in their home during this hard time.

Background: A New Jersey mother and her 18-month-old daughter are facing eviction. Falling on unemployment, she became three months behind on her rent. Despite going on job interviews, she has not found employment yet. Last week in court, the judge said she must bring in the three months back due rent, plus court fees, or a warrant for her and her child's eviction will be issued.
