I am Isidoros Parlamas and I have been pondering for years how I could best give back to the World.

I have been a student of Socrates, Plato's teacher, for years and I have been inspired by his Dialectics, which I have found a priceless tool to improve one's Quality Of Life.

 I do owe Socrates a lot!

I am starting TRUE DEMOCRACY, a new Political Movement unlike any other, in that citizens are called to exercise power themselves on a rotating basis. Every year, each able citizen is to serve 15 days as policeman/woman, 15 days as lawmaker, and 15 days as a juror/judge.

We cannot claim that we care about our children without caring about their children...and their children's children...for our children are bound to love their children as much as we love our children...and so on and so forth...

All that means is that each generation has to foresee what needs to be done for the next generations.

We know the World's problems emanate from widespread graft and corruption!

THEREFORE, THERE IS AN URGENT NEED FOR POLITICAL EDUCATION!

POLITICAL EDUCATION means to know what needs to be done as well as how to do it to attain Quality Of Life.
But What is Quality Of Life?

Well, to answer that question we need to do some analysis.

Let us do that then:

Are people just another animal or more than just another animal?

Biologically speaking, we are animals because of the following 6 facts:

we need to breathe
we get thirsty
we get hungry
we defecate
we urinate
we need to have sex to procreate
From a biological point of view, therefore, we are no better or worse than any other animal.

However, from a psycho-intellectual point of view, we stand by far higher than any other animal.

It is apparent then that for every animal except humans the satisfaction of the above 6 needs in a relatively safe and healthy environment would undoubtedly constitute Quality Of Life for them.

Imagine, though, the misery humans would feel if life for them would stop at the satisfaction of those 6 needs!

It follows, then, that for humans to have Quality Of Life, they need to have access to much more than the safe and hygienic satisfaction of the basic 6 needs.

Quality Of Life, then, is a society where every citizen has access, on a daily basis, to the means to cultivate conclusively, at will and by choice, their psychological and intellectual tendencies with a view to their personal self actualization and, by extension, to the improvement of society as a whole.

Self-Actualization refers to a reality which is structured in such a way as to allow each and every citizen to pursue climbing to the top of their own personal pyramid; in other words, to be the best they possibly can at what they do best.

Here, people are not supposed to compete with each other, but instead to compete with themselves.

My pyramid's height may be only 1 meter, and yours 1 km; the point is, though, how far up one's own pyramid one has been able to climb.

It is the percentage that matters, not the absolute number.

If I have managed to climb 90% of the distance and you only 10%, then I have almost reached self-actualization, whereas you know yourself far less than me and, therefore, you are still struggling to find out who you are.

Imagine now a society where everyone struggles to be the best at what they can do best.

The Wealth of such a society would be immense.

But, mind you! Wealth is not measured in money!

Wealth is measured in Quality Of Life.

There is plenty of money in the world, yet Quality Of Life is in short supply.

Save about 15 countries, the Scandinavian ones, Austria, Germany, Holland, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Japan, and Singapore, the majority of citizens' reality in almost every other country is pure hell!

There is plenty of money in countries rich in oil, for example, in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas where corruption and poverty are rampant.

It is not, then, about money but about Wealth!

Wealth lies in the values that citizens espouse and it comes in the form of Justice, Equal Opportunity, Respect for one's Personality, Economic Prosperity, Creativity...in short, the chance people have to truly and realistically pursue Self-Actualization in the course of their life time.

Now, lest there be any misunderstanding, there are people who are best at doing the wrong thing, like paid killers and those respectable citizens who hire them, or any other criminals for that matter.

Those people are not the best doing the right thing!

Rather, they are the best doing the wrong thing, or simply the worst!

How many of us were had the potential to become great scientists, musicians, actors, painters, sculptors, doctors, athletes, etc., but never had a chance to pursue self-actualization because we constantly had to worry about how to make ends meet and never had either the free time, or the economic security, or the access to education to even try to get a glimpse at what we were meant to be best at.

About 99% of people living on earth today are in that category. What a wasted Wealth...what a heavy price to pay for greed and close mindedness and lack of vision...

Well, that is why True Democracy is a project that is long overdue...it is the only project that can wipe out the root of all evil...that is, graft and corruption...

True Democracy will make it nearly impossible for citizens to take advantage of other fellow citizens because there will not be such a thing as permanent power any longer...remember if you mess up during those 15 days you are in charge, we are coming after you right the next day...

The money is to be used to start the movement legally in Copenhagen, Denmark, which, in today's standards,  is as free, democratic, and transparent a country as any country can possibly get.

The movement's sole purpose is to help set up, organize, and run local True Democracy parties in other countries.

It is of the uttermost importance to grasp the huge scope of the movement and support it.

To that effect, I have done my best to provide the vision, which is bound to be vastly enriched by so many of YOU!
