Hi, I'm Grace's dad and this is Grace's story:- On the 9th December 2014 my beautiful daughter Grace was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour at only 18 months old. Grace was diagnosed with a medullo blastoma with extensive nodules (mben) for short, she also had a blockage caused by the tumour which was affecting her mobility, concentration and general wellbeing. On the 10th December 2014 she underwent surgery to remove the blockage and the tumour which was a complete success as they removed all the tumour without damaging anything around it, this meant that she would have been relieved of the headache she would have endured for several months. Less than 12 hours after surgery she was standing in her cot wanting to be out, less than 24 hours after surgery she was walking around PICU. Two days after surgery we got the results of the tumour and what the next step was, the tumour grace had was a fast growing tumour and with out further treatment it would return. On the 29th December 2014 Grace had a lumbar puncture and a Hickman line put in place, the lumbar puncture showed the cancer cells had not spread to her spine. Grace has to undergo 26 weeks of intensive chemotherapy which is split into 3 sets and every 8-9 weeks she will have an MRI scan to determine whether the chemotherapy is working. At this point there is an 80% chance it will work so fingers crossed, if chemotherapy is unsuccessful radiotherapy maybe required but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. 

We have created Grace's journey fund to raise money, and the money raised, Grace's parents will decide which charities will benefit as there are a lot of charities who are currently supporting us as a family.
