John Tyson lost his wife Donna and son Jordan in the 2011 floods John has recently become homeless and is on the verge of losing his car. Over 400 million dollars was raised for the flood appeal, despite losing his wife and child John has received ... More ...

I probably am yet to come across anything that embodies the term travesty anymore than the situation my friend John Tyson is in.  I felt compelled to set up this page to let him know people do, and did care and will support him even if the powers that be will not.

Did you donate to the Qld flood appeal thinking that people like John Tyson would be taken care of while he grieved the death of his wife and child in the tragedy of the 2011 Floods?   Yes over 400 million dollars was raised but no, John did not receive a cent.

John Tyson lost his wife Donna and son Jordan in the 2011 floods. Jordans last words were 'take my brother first'. John has since campaigned nationally to have his son be awarded a cross of valour bravery medal.  The petition is the largest in Australian history with over 300,000 signatures and yet still, no award.

To make things harder John has recently become homeless and is on the verge of losing his car too.

Following the floods John relocated to the Gold Coast for a new start with his son Blake, after blake was bullied and bashed following the Floods.

John was getting up at 4am returning home at 7pm spending $400 a week on petrol not being available to be there to comfort Blake following the flood disaster. the stress of this eventually wore John down in every way. He has not essentially had a moment to stop and grieve and wants that time to be there for Blake in person as a young boy that has been through the unimaginable .

In my words you will go a long way to find a bloke with more sincerity, integrity, honesty and drive to keep going than  John Tyson.  His ultimate goal is to set up a trauma centre so that others can be supported through lifes up and downs and God knows he has had them.  But firstly before that is started, we as fellow human beings need to give him our hand.

Please join me in taking the pressure off John for the first time by donating what you can right here.

its Blakes 15th birthday next week . The wish list in the perfect world includes skate wear - I phone - alien head computer - and fishing gear. It's the least we can do because none of us can bring his mum or brother back.

It all counts please donate or share or both. Very few of us will ever know what it feels like to experience this degree of pain, so please dig deep ❤
