Michelle Tackitt hasn't added a story.
Located in Madison County Indiana - Most of the rescues are Animal Control/Law Enforcement seizures. Please share/spread the word to help the rescues in our care!
We are not a registered 501/NonProfit, but we do not make a profit off of this either. In fact we are almost always in the red on funds coming in to help vs. funds going out to rehabilitate them. We do not receive funding from any government entity to assist us past the $10 per day per head hold time, which in Indiana is 10 days for a seizure and 5 days for a stray, and that doesn't even begin to put a dent in what it costs to rehab a neglected horse. Gifts to us are not tax deductible but are welcomed and reported on our taxes as income that we do pay tax on out of our own pockets per Indiana Law. Everything is done using the hard-earned money from the our day jobs and any sales from things listed on the website http://www.rmranch.net So if you’d like to give something to help with any of the rescues it would be greatly appreciated.
Some have asked for our PayPal information, so that monetary gifts can be sent outside of this fundraiser. The PayPal email is mickiebon@sbcglobal.net Please make sure you check the option that says "sending money to family or friends" or else PayPal will charge us a %.
You can send a monetary gift directly to our vets or call to pay with a credit card. Remember to write in the memo field of your check or specify over the phone, "Michelle Gordon - Rescue".

Every penny counts! Thank you and the horses thank you too!!!
Just in case nobody clicks on the "updates tab" or if it gets lost on the "activity feed" I'll post the updates here. ;-)
Update on 10/30/14: "R&M Ranch just had the vet out for everybody's routine care this fall... so more personal funds from Michelle and Robert went to that. Please gift to this fundraiser to help us get the hay in the barn for the rescues and get the extra lot set up that we need for the ones who can not be out on grass all the time (that will leave us with the rehab lot open for those that need the rehab time). We've also already purchased the extra fence box for the drylot areas with personal funds. It will be used to separated off the drylot fencing (which includes the new "fat camp" lot that needs put in, the "rehab rescue lot" that is already there, and the "normal" lot for the rest of them who can graze more freely that is already there also) from the rest of the fencing... which will keep it hitting harder and keep any "escape artists" in! ;-) "
Update 2/2015: R&M Ranch took in 3 new neglect cases at the end of Jan and beginning of Feb. (2 from the Henry County neglect case of 22 horses, 1 of which was rehomed by the Henry Saddle Club 1 week after we fostered for them, the other is being signed over to R&M Ranch) (1 from a Madison County neglect case that is still ongoing, so no details of the horse will be released right now, just in general photos and info). Please see the updates section of this fundraiser for more info.
