Chris is currently 56 and lives in Bromsgrove with his wife Lynn.He has two boys Sam and Joe and a beautiful grandaughter josie. A fabulous family who have helped many other people.

In 2014 Chris was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer. The least survivable of all cancers.

It all started in 2013 when after an intial diagnosis of diabetes he deveolped  jaundice and was diagnosed with borderline operable pancreatic cancer. On 2nd june 2013 he was hopeful of surgery to remove the growth but unfortunately this was not possible.

His only chance of buying more time is pallative chemotherapy. After seeking a second opionion a regime was reccomended and the oncologist agreed on a course of treatment of Abraxane and Gemcitabine.

Unfortunately this treatment is not funded by the NHS.

Despite all of this Chris and his family remain hopefull, resolute and ready to strive towards raising the necessary funds to continue the treatment.

We want to join Chris and his family on a journey of recovery starting with our first event called From Here To Maternity.

In order to raise funds a group of community midwives will lead a walk on October 26th from the Princess of Wales hospital Bromsgrove to the Alexandra hospital Redditch .

They will be supported by family and friends who will not only accompany the midwives on the walk but will lead the fundraising effort.

Please do anything you can to support us as we want to raise the funds to help a very special person and his family.
