Elijah was born on March 30, 2012, with Congenital Cytomegalovirus, Microcephaly, Spastic Quadriparesis, Cerebal Palsy, and global developmental delay. He also has hearing and vision loss. He spent the first 2 months of his life in the NICU receiving platelet transfusions. Elijah by far, is the strongest, and happiest child I have ever met. Elijah came into our home on March 6 2014, by what we consider a very unselfish decision by his biological mother. I met Elijah and his family at the end of January, after doing charity work for his family that had lost everything in a house fire. Elijah came into our house very unexpected. We understand we could have said no, or we could have called DFACS, but instead we welcomed him with open arms, and promised to give him the best quality of life possible. Due to certain circumstances, Elijah had not received the much needed therapy he has needed since birth. We have been working really hard to get Elijah all the care and therapy he needs. He is making wonderful progress. Elijah does have insurance, but it doesn't cover a lot of the extra care he deserves. There is also a few places that we would love Elijah to see before he loses his vision completely. Like the aquarium and the zoo! Any 2 year old deserves this! Our 2 BIGGEST needs are the FireFly Go To seat, which will allow Elijah to sit beside us ANYWHERE, even the kitchen table! Check it out below! And also the WaterWayBabies pool system. Elijah loves the pool, and it is so relaxing for him, but he can't be in the heat for long. This system will fit in our house, so he can have water therapy EVERY DAY! Check it out too. If we raise money past the cost of these, it will be used for us to travel to Atlanta twice a week for his Physiatry appointments. If you can donate ANY amount, it would be greatly appreciated. If you can't, please keep Elijah in your prayers. He has a long road ahead, but we know that he will fight through it! And please share this!
