Abbie Davis was diagnosed with scoliosis in December 2013.
In April 2014 she'll be starting her brace treatment to hopefully halt/reverse her curvature.
What we aim to do is make things more comfortable for her and hopefully surgery will be avoided!

Abbie Davis is from Celbrige Co. Kildare and in December 2013 she was diagnosed with scoliosis.

Her mother Martina first noticed her curvature last summer while Abbie was out playing and immediately brought Abbie to her GP.

She then made a private appointment to see Dr. Kiely who recommended she wear a Boston brace for up to 23 hours a day.

Abbie is only 10 so now is the time to seek treatment!

What we aim to do is to make Abbie a little more comfortable as scoliosis can be quite tiring especially at that age so we'll be raising money for alternative treatment, a new mattress and also a new chair to make things a bit easier for Abbie.

We'll be holding the "Kerry for Abbie" Honda 50 run on June 1st 2014 which will see us doing the Ring of Kerry on a Honda 50!! This is a 200km journey and will take around 10 hours to complete but we need your help in doing this!!

We need all the support we can get so can you please donate to this wonderful cause!

Lots of people in Ireland haven't heard of scoliosis so now is the time to change this and raise some awareness while doing so!
