Imagine being only 28 years old, newly married, mother of two toddlers, and finding out one morning that you have stage 3 breast cancer. How would you feel? What would you say? How would you say it? What would you do? Those are all things my wife Ashleigh were faced with on October 8th 2013. She said she just felt like crying. She couldn't say much and what she was able to say, she said it with tears. What Ashleigh did was cry, pray, and hope. And I did it with her. With in the span of 9 days, my wife had to get her right breast removed and several lymph nodes in which the cancer had reached. She is now on her 2nd treatment of chemo, is losing her hair and will be out of work with no pay for at least 6 months. Our co-pay is $40 a visit. She has a full chemo session every 21 days and a hormone receptor drug called Herceptin every week once a week for the next 12 months. So that's at least $2080 in co- pays alone. We really need your help. With the cost of doctor visits, and childcare, and general bills, this road will be rough on just one income. We are looking for people to give a minimum donation of $5, but if you are led to give the whole $40 towards a co-pay that would be most appreciated by the Smith Family. Thank You and GOD BLESS!
