Hi there, My name is Paul Efayena, I am a member of the British Weight Lifting Team competing at this year’s 2012 Paralympic game's. I lost my right leg above the knee in a near fatal motorcycle accident on the 3rd of June 2011 due to the action's of a reckless individual driving in the wrong direction down a dual carriage way. After my accident, I was immediately rushed to King's College hospital in Camberwell where I spent six and a half long and painful weeks convalescing and trying to come to terms with what had just happened to me, and how much my whole life was about to change. Fortunately for me, a close friend of mine managed to get in touch with a coach from the British Weight Lifting Organisation, and six months ago I joined the team and starting training and competing with the view of hopefully being able to qualify for the 2012 Olympic / Paralympic game's. It was a long shot by any means, but with much hard work and determination, I was pleasantly surprised when I not long ago informed that I had done enough to warrant being given a chance to compete for my country at the game's . Unfortunately, as time has been against me, I do not yet have any official sponsors that help support the funding of my training. As a result I am currently finding it extremely difficult to undertake and meet all of my training needs and requirements. If you or anyone you know of can offer any help that would support my training in any way what so ever, it will be very much appreciated as it would allow me to focus solely on my technique and preparation for my performance at the 2012 Olympic games, and beyond......
