In November 2011, brother Amir Junaid Muhadith, formerly known as Loon was in Belgium on a lecture tour. He was arrested while there as America invoked the "Patriot Act" and decided to charge him for suspicions on drug trafficking that allegedly took place in between the years 2006 - 2008, before his conversion to Islam. He was put on solitary confinement from that point awaiting to be extradited back to America. The nature of the charges caused his assets to be frozen, and left him unable to get a legal defines team. In April 2012, we took to the online community to raise enough funds to get a legal team behind him. Phase 1 was successful and a few weeks later brother Amir was brought back to America. He is now in North Carolina where he awaits his trial. This is Phase 2 of this process and we are once again reaching out to the online community for their support so we don't lose this brother to the prison system. The charges he's facing range from 10 years to life. We ask you for your prayers, but also for your financial support so that the brother gets a fair trial and defence.
