And I’m raising money to help my husband go to Brazil to say goodbye to his only brother. Unfortunately, we’re going through a difficult times, both emotionally and financially.
My brother-in-law had a hemorrhagic stroke in March of this year, and later we discovered a grade 4 malignant brain tumor. Two years ago, my father-in-law passed away from the same disease, and my mother-in-law suffered a heart attack that led to her death, leaving only my husband and his brother. His brother is divorced and has two children, one who is 4 and the other 11. Shortly after the diagnosis, he underwent surgery to remove part of the tumor and began a round of daily radiation therapy and chemotherapy every 6 days. That phase is now over, and one day after his last radiation therapy session, he had a seizure. Unfortunately, these seizures will now occur frequently because the tumor is not responding to treatment due to its hard-to-reach location. The doctor has only told us that he may have six months left.
Knowing the costs involved in everything related to this situation, (all notary and funeral service costs.)we’re asking anyone who can to help us with any amount, since, unfortunately, my father-in-law and mother-in-law have already passed away, and another part of my mother-in-law’s family simply cut off contact with us after her death.
UPDATE: I was told today ( July 31st), he's just had another seizure and he is back to the hospital.
