On February 11th 2025 Megan suffered a severe traumatic brain injury leaving her in coma with doctors giving minimal chance survival .She had a large portion of her skull removed due to swelling and underwent multiple surgeries to stop the bleeding in her brain and reconstruct her skull made of metal. Megan was fighting for her life and a miracle proving the doctors wrong she woke up from her coma but was left with severe deficits . Her ability to walk, talk , swallow , breathe on her own,memory ,read, emotions and cognitive skills were all taken away and has to relearn everything. She was an excelled runner but is now in a wheelchair . As you can imagine this has massively altered her life and her family's. After 11 months of fighting in the hospital, she has finally come home and continues the long process of relearning everything.As you can imagine to get the help she needs, she requires intense therapies (speech, physiotherapy, etc) and to make her home more wheelchair accessible.These therapies are financially straining on her parents, they have to take time off work to be with Megan and her little sister. As a close friend, I am asking for help to take care of some financial costs so the family can be there for Megan as much as possible and get Megan the therapies she needs. Any help will go to covering the therapies, making a home wheelchair accessible, and helping Megan recover.
