My name is Ewa Romanowska-Krupicz. A few years ago I left the city and moved to the countryside, to a small wooden, eco-friendly house where I hoped to finally focus on my art. In December 2022 I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Since then I have lived through medical mistakes and neglect that I would never wish on anyone. I won’t describe every detail here—only that I could have died more than once.

Today I am in a late stage of the disease. I breathe with an oxygen concentrator and live alone, about 90 km from Warsaw. Every hospital trip is hard. I no longer receive systemic therapy. In practice I was told to wait passively. Yet I know that private immunotherapy with atezolizumab could give me more time—its monthly cost (~25,000 PLN / ~£5,000 / ~$6,000) is far beyond my means.

Winter is coming. My fireplace broke; I managed to buy a new one, but I can’t afford installation and chimney work. Without it I would have to heat with electricity on a tiny pension—which I simply cannot.

How your donation will be used:

• installation of the fireplace and safe heating (chimney work, fittings),

• food and basic medical supplies,

• car repairs and transport to hospitals,

• daily survival and bringing my dogs back home,

• and, if possible, private immunotherapy to gain more time.

I have received information about the possibility of starting modern immunotherapy treatment at the renowned IOZK Clinic in Cologne, Germany. This center specializes in targeted therapies and cancer vaccines that may give me a real chance to extend my life and improve my health.

The cost of treatment is approximately €60,000. The therapy is carried out in stages, and payments must be made before each new phase.

This amount is absolutely beyond my reach. That is why I am asking for your help. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me closer to being able to take advantage of this opportunity.
