Hello, dear ones,
I am fundraising for an aspiring Kadampa Buddhist nun who has just been accepted for ordination. She will be ordained at Manjushri Center in England at the Spring Festival 2024.
She will attend the empowerment, and all the teachings, and do the retreat after that. She will need travel expenses, accommodation, and sets of robes to wear once she is ordained. Donating now will help her get good fares and accommodation, rather than leaving things until the last minute.
We rejoice in her opportunity to be ordained, but she needs our help. Samsara has thrown a lot of obstacles in her way, and the clock is ticking. The Spring Festival starts May 24 and runs until the 29, 2024, followed by the retreat to deepen her practice.
The funds will go to:
- Transportation expenses to Ulverston, England for herself and caregiver
- Accommodation for the 2 of them
- Festival fees
- Meals and other travel-related expenses to and from the center
- New sets of robes-it is tricky trying to get them done in time!
Since most of the large expenses will be incurred in England, we are using British pounds sterling for the currency.
