Update: 1:30pm - They said she just heard my voice and lifted her head for the first time! She’s responding!!!!!

This is an urgent plea. I’m begging. I have NEVER done this before for myself, but I don’t know what else to do.

A few hours ago Sophie, my mini Aussie, must have stepped on something that bit her. Her paw became engorged, and shortly thereafter her breathing became labored and she started to foam at the mouth. Not knowing anyone local or what to do, we ran her to the closest animal hospital, where we are now. We’ve been here for hours praying.

So far we have paid $660. It’s literally all the cash I have on me. I can’t go wracking up credit cards because I am 30 days from closing on our nightmare house. I am losing it right now, and I honestly can’t handle another tragedy.

The most recent estimate is another $780 for continued treatment today. If anyone can help me, I will pay you back as soon as I get the hell out of here and get my mind back!

Best guess is a snake or scorpion bite, that she had a reaction to. She’s responding to meds and IVs, but still touch and go.

If you can help, I probably owe you my life at this point.
