It has been an amazing outreach of affection, regarding my brother
Gary. He has been fighting stage 4 cancer since March of 2020.
A
multitude of people have asked how they can help, I responded by
finding any photo of Gary and sharing it with us. The sharing of
photos has been a wonderful way to transition and relive many
wonderful memories.
He is currently in our home under hospice
care. We love having Gary here, as he left his home last week. We are
making Gary comfortable.
He is a proud man, a former Marine, a
loving father, a caring brother and never asked for help throughout
the duration of his diagnosis. (An occasional ride from the hospital,
a lunch but refused my help to clean, support as his energy level
decreased day by day).
He kept his medical information private as
he did not want to be a burden to anyone. As his voice becomes a
whisper and more and more sleep, we know the updated scans revealed
his tumors have metastasized. Once they enlarge, his breathing, eating
and brain will be affected, along with his strong, funny
disposition.
As of today, he can sit up, converse and digest some
food, but he rests most of the day. When he is awake, we continue to
enjoy , cherish and treasure the last moments with my brother.

We are very blessed and fortunate for all that we do have, and
very thankful for the love, prayers and genuine concern regarding Gary
and our family.
As he will continue to decline, and need
services, final expenses, offset bills, rent insurance and additional
nursing care that is not covered, family friends and acquaintances
have mentioned monetary help with Gary’s final expenses.
This is
a platform to help Gary, for anyone who is interested. The funds will
all go directly to Gary’s needs and humbly appreciate all that
everyone has done during this difficult time as he steps closer to
heaven each day.
