I'm finally at the point where I'm literally out of options besides giving crowdfunding a chance. My family is facing a crises, and we need help badly to keep a roof over our heads, keep our family together, and just make it through this last seemingly impossible situation. A year and a half ago I finally got out of the  12 year relationship that had gradually become both abusive and toxic. I couldn't stand that my children would think that was normal, or worse, end up in the same situation not knowing the difference between types of relationships. In leaving, I lost my home as well. I had closed my massage clinic when our daughter was born in 2013, and so had a huge work gap with my most recent jobs years in the past. It didn't occur to me that finding a job would be more than difficult. I was busy struggling to stay afloat, ended up at the homeless shelter for a time, and found rent and support assistance from the mental health and disability services which i qualified for since I'm bipolar. They paid my first 6 months rent, and had support personnel stop by to help if needed. I was putting out at least 20 applications and resumes each week. No call backs at all, and the 6 months was running out. I kept up with applications and resumes even though it seemed pointless, and when my rent assistance ran out, I just kept at it. My family was back together again under one roof, I had things to be grateful for, but I knew i had to find a job fast or I'd lose it all again. My family has done everything they can afford to help us out, and I just got hired full time on Friday! So, if we can make it through this, my income will cover everything from here out. We just need help to get there. The back rent is $1700, with rent of $775, and i don't expect anyone to cover all that, just remember that anything someone donates to us is more than we started with, and so grateful. The other situation is I've not been able to stay current with the power bill, past due is $235.60, but if I make a payment of $66 by the 25th, they won't disconnect our power again.
