Peace all!
My name is Felicia Perry. I'm an ARTreprenuer residing in North Minneapolis.
I need a reliable vehicle to travel to work across the twin
cities, get my two children to where they need to be and continue to
do work in the community.
My last vehicle only lasted me 2 months and is now irreparable.
It’s been a challenge relying on public transportation and the good
will of others. My osteoarthritis has been doing a number on me and
walking has been pretty painful for about a month now. I’ve had
increased back pain since having to carry my bag (filled a laptop,
work, rehearsal clothes, and food for my daughter and I) while we
commute at least one hour one way. So this just isn't sustainable
for me. As a professional dancer, I rely on the health and fitness
of my body to help pay bills.
Unfortunately I’ve missed a few paid opportunities because of I
didn’t have access to reliable transportation or ended being late
due to the bus or train. Having a reliable vehicle with allow me to
keep work commitments as well as relieve a great deal of stress (and pain).
I’ve been so excited to work on multiple projects this summer
across various communities.
