Who I am!
My name is Renee Edwards-Ambrose and I am the Founder, CEO and
Racecar Driver of the drag racing team, Lady Horsepower Farm Racing. I
have been nominated for Regional Sportswoman of the Year for 2014 in
Antigua and Barbuda which was the very first time that Drag Racing has
actually been recognized as a sport under the Ministry of Sports in
Antigua and Barbuda. I am also a wife, an Aircraft Maintenance
Technician and a Plus Model.
Apart from excelling in such a testosterone filled environment, I love fashion, modelling and mentoring young women.
Who WE are!
Lady Horsepower Farm Racing, established in September of 2013, is a division of Horsepower Farm and mainly consists of women. We represent our twin island state of Antigua and Barbuda throughout the region at drag racing events put on by a number of Auto Sports Associations.
As an organization, Lady Horsepower Farm Racing aims to give back to the community and is very passionate about youth development and women empowerment programs and initiatives.
LHFR partners with the “Go Girl” Campaign!
The “Go Girl” Campaign #ControlYourDestiny Empowerment Project - is the first ever mentorship program under the Women of Esteem Foundation. As part of the team, we will help reach the many young girls across Antigua and Barbuda, regionally and internationally by promoting the campaign at races, car shows and special events. We also actively mentor young girls through our 'LadyMex' (Lady Mechanic) Workshops, with the hope to empower/encourage/inspire as many of them as possible! –“GO GIRL” #ControlYourDestiny
Lady Horsepower Farm Racing, in 2016, will be facilitating workshops for women under the theme ‘A Lady’s Essential Guide to Knowing Her Car’. These ‘Lady Mex’ workshops will provide the basic know-how on how to carry out the minor tasks that prevent major repairs.
We will touch on:
- Checking Engine Oil
- Tires and wheel
- Brake Fluid and
Transmission Fluid
- Washer Fluid and Engine Coolant

LHFR partners with the "Girls With Roots" Organization!
Girls with Roots is a platform that showcases the uniqueness of the Caribbean woman; her resilience, her beauty and her strength. A woman, no matter her age still has within her the innocence, passion and free spirit of a girl. A woman, no matter her race or cultural background, still has herself rooted in something – something that makes her special and uniquely different. As Caribbean women, we have Caribbean roots.

Why we need your help!
Drag racing is a very costy sport and we need your generous contributions to assist our team in using our platform of Drag Racing, to get the word of our initiatives and activities out there!
Our team has been invited to participate in a drag racing event in Trinidad at the Wallerfield Raceway on January 16th - 17th, 2016 and another event in Grenada at the Pearls Speedway on March 26th and 27 2016. We are humbly requesting the financial asssitance from you to offset the cost of both trips.
20% of what is collected will go towards the Go Girl - Control Your Desitiny and Girls With Roots Organizations to assist with their community development projects and events.
