A few players stood out in Miami, including captain and lead recruiter Jeff “Moose” Brill from Krewe and Adrian Salazar, who captained the squad in Miami.

“He had a very strong game from tight head, winning battles in the scrum, running down a breakaway and forcing a turnover in the try zone,” Richardson said of Salazar. “When your tight head can lead a stat sheet, you will win a lot of games. It really was a team win and the players became comfortable in their roles, embraced their roles and excelled in their roles.”

After winning the two qualifier and the Florida 7s Cup, we are on our way to New Orleans where we could win the first ever Southern Conference Championship. If we win the SCC, we would fly to Seattle three weeks later, but finding the funds is a challenge.

I'm launching a fund-raising effort to cover for travel, hotel, and other expenses to get to New Orleans, LA., for the South Conference Championship on July 19th. If we are successful in the South Conference Championship which I feel we will be, we will go on to the National Championship where we will be traveling to Seattle, WA. on the 9th and 10th of August. However, your support is needed. That is why I'm appealing to all members of our South Florida Community including the families of current players, Miami, Old Boys, F.I.U, Parents of the Miami Youth Program, as well as private business and corporate sponsors, for your support. In just 4 months after breaking my fibula in a tournament, I've played in the South 15's Regional, practiced, coached and played 7s all summer long, making it to the Florida Select Side (Florida Burn) where I captained in the two qualifier tournaments, winning both with great teammates and also wining the Florida 7s Cup.

I stand to represent my self, my family, my Miami team, the guys and girls i coach, and i also represent Florida. Your support will allow me to continue this journey for the upcoming USA Rugby’s South 7s Championships in New Orleans and Finally the USA Rugby Club 7s National Championships in Seattle.

My goal is to raise $1200 for travel and expenses to be able to make it to the next level, play, give it my all, and bring back more knowledge, experience to grow both individually and for my teammates, and the guys and girls that I have been given the opportunity to coach.
