Jeremy Dwyer is a very caring and sweet young man who is a brother, a son of a military family and a friend to everyone he meets. Jeremy is also an epileptic who experiences life threatening Grand Mal Seizures lasting from 1 to 7 minutes and now needs the assistance of a skilled seizure alert dog and they are extremely exspensive. Every penny of this fund will go toward the adoption and training process associated with a service dog.

Diagnosed on July 28,2013 with the sudden onset of Idiopathic Epilepsy his condition has been getting worse. More than once Jeremy's family members have found him blue and not breathing during and after his seizures. The neuroligists have been working their hardest to find a medicine that Jeremy can tolerate as he is allegeric to most that commonly keep seizures under control. He is now on medicine #4.

Jeremy currently sleeps with an EMFIT Monitor to alert his family if he stops breathing and has to sleep with a parent just in case. This monitor has already saved his life. As you can imagine this has began to limit what activity Jeremy is able to do including school as he has to be closely monitored. This has also affected the normal acitivites of his family because they are unable to leave him alone or with a sitter due to his sever seizures and Jeremy still maintains an amazing attitude through everything. 

The family has had many struggles with their insurance not paying for things or approving things like his EMFIT monitor and then denying it later leaving them to pay the costly bills. SO in order to improve his overall quality of life they are seeking to get Jeremy a seizure alert dog. The dog will accompany him to school and everyday activities and will be able to alert when a seizure is taking place to notify others and help minimize injury. The insurance has denied coverage for this life saving tool as well. This little boy deserves to have a chance at having his life back.. Please help him reach that goal. ANYTHING HELPS!
