My name is Ryan Aspinall. I am a Canadian horseman studying toward a Master of Science degree in the United Kingdom. I have had a life-long passion for horses with a specific interest in the breeding sector. As part of my degree, I must undertake a student research venture in my field of study, which is currently being conducted in the United States.

The research I am conducting takes a dynamic approach at identifying and filling gaps that exist in our current knowledge of seasonal changes in stallion semen quality. By utilizing computer-assisted sperm analysis (CASA) and laboratory bacteriology testing, I aim to uncover whether a significant change in stallion semen quality occurs during the period of a commercial breeding season, something which could hold great value to industry professionals.

The goal of this research is to benefit to the equine breeding industry. My hope is to provide breeders with new developments which may improve the success of their practice, as well as to lay a foundation for future research. With your generous support, I hope to cover the expenses associated with this student research venture and make the study a success, and in doing so, provide valuable information to the equine breeding industry!

Any and all donations are appreciated. Thank you for your consideration!
