Every morning that Lace wakes up she thanks God for giving her
another day.
In September of this year she started her life changing journey
and battle against a rare type of cancer, Primary CNS T-cell Lymphoma.
She developed a tumor in her brain which affected her sight.
A few months have passed, bills started to come in, there are
some positive and some negative news. Lace and her family went through
a total life change; nutrition, diet, and outlook. Lace responded
well with the modified diet and medication, but needs to continue to
in a few weeks to undergo chemo therapy treatment.
She had an Ommaya reservoir (chemo port) implanted in her brain
on Nov. 4, 2013. She will have her first chemo on 11/18/13 and this
will go on for 16 weeks. She will be hospitalized for 4-5 days each
time she receives chemo therapy.
Your donation will go towards paying treatment for;
1.
Naturopath (Currently not covered by insurance) which will help
minimize the side effects of chemo therapy. She will get a detailed
treatment plan to make her stronger and healthier
2. Medical
bills such as hospitalization, medication, testing, and other
treatments related to her chemo
3. Housing for her and her care
givers during treatments.
4. Other miscellaneous bills that was
incurred on her pre-diagnosis stage; surgeries, biopsies, and multiple
testings.
5. ULEMF Sauna and an Alkaline water machine as part
of her treatment
Lace wanted to take both a chemo and naturapathic approach for
a greater chance of beating this rare and expensive disease.
The cost of treatment is overwhelming for all of us. Our
household lost 3 sources of income (Lace, her sister, and her mom)
because of the 24 hour care that she needs. Her younger sister left
everything in New York City to be with her, leaving her life, and
giving Lace the love and support during this crucial time.
She needs a lot of physical, spiritual, and financial support
from all of us since this is her only option of survival. She is
hopeful that she'll be one of the lucky 40% who survive this rare life
threatening disease.
She always says she loves to travel and will love to do
missionary work in the future. With your support you can help her get
fit and ready for her battle.
And hopefully when she wakes up from this nightmare, she will
have a chance to see the world and experience life cancer free!
