This is Mallory.   An approximatley 1 yr old mixed breed dog.  When she was a puppy (exact age is unknown) she was supposedly "stepped on" by her owners.  Her injury, however, (a shattered, deformed left hind leg) - suggests far worse than being "stepped on".   Whatever really happened to Mallory we can only begin to imagine.  She was not taken to a vet.  Instead she she was left like this - with a mangled, shattered leg - in pain, with absolutely no medical care. With no treatment. These owners then decided that they no longer wanted her.  After all, she was injured so they saw no need for her.  They were going to dump her in the streets.  Someone intervened and took her to prevent her being abandoned that way.  However these next owners kept her - in that state - outside, on a chain.  Her life just kept getting worse.

So begins the next chapter of Mallory's life.

Now Mallory is off that chain.  Now Mallory is in a foster home where she is warm, safe, and dry.  And she will now know love, compassion, and mercy for the first time in her life.  And even though all she has ever known from humans was neglect and abuse - she is forgiving.  She gives kisses.  She wants to play.  Her tail wags.  In other words - she wants someone to love and for someone to love her back.

Mallory's leg is still so painful.  It is going to require several xrays, orthopedic consults, and ultimately surgery.  All of this is projected to cost several thousands of dollars.  This is in addition to all of her routine care that still needs to be done - bloodwork, vaccines, spay, micrchipping, etc.  She will be getting all of her care done at Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital in Mullica Hill, NJ.

We are asking for your help.

Any donation in any amount is needed and will help us get to our goal.  We are so appreciative of any amount - no matter how small - because without it we are powerless.  Our gratitude is without measure.

Please help spread the word about Mallory.  Together - we can do this!
