My daughter Gemma was born with a rare neuromuscular disorder, she has a tracheostomy, ventilator and wheelchair. After spending almost a year in hospital we were excited to bring her to our local playgrounds only to find our city was severely lacking in accessibility.

After almost two years of advocating to the city of Richmond they agreed to build a playground with accessible elements next Spring!

I am part of the design team this Fall and as there are limited funds and limited time, I am doing everything I can to raise money this Summer to purchase individual pieces of accessible play equipment in order to make this project a success.

I am not only doing this in honour of my daughter, but for all children, adults and grandparents with mobility challenges in our community.

This will be an inclusive PLAYGROUND FOR ALL and I need your help to make it possible. Every dollar counts, thank you for your support!
