I’m a barista with a big dream: creating an unforgettable specialty espresso drive-thru where incredible coffee meets confidence, personality, community, and a little playful charm.

I’ve always believed coffee is about more than caffeine. It’s about brightening someone’s day, making genuine connections, and creating a place people genuinely look forward to visiting.

For the past several months, I’ve been trying to break into Washington’s bikini espresso industry. After repeatedly applying to existing stands and not finding the right opportunity, I realized I could keep waiting for someone else to give me a chance or I could create the opportunity myself.

That’s how Bratty Beans Bikini Espresso was born.

My vision is to build a specialty bikini espresso drive-thru that feels fun, welcoming, confident, and full of personality while still taking the coffee itself seriously. I want Bratty Beans to serve genuinely delicious drinks in an environment where customers can laugh, connect, feel welcome, and leave with a little more energy than they came in with.

Another important part of that vision is creating a safe haven for women working in the bikini espresso industry. As I learned more about the industry in Washington, I came across deeply concerning reports and allegations involving some male-owned bikini espresso businesses, including wage theft, labor violations, health and safety code violations, sexual assault, and trafficking. Those stories made me even more determined to create a stand where women are treated with dignity, paid fairly, protected at work, and never expected to sacrifice their safety or boundaries to earn a living. I want Bratty Beans to show that a bikini espresso stand can be playful, flirty, and empowering while still being a professional workplace built on consent, respect, safety, and genuine care for the women who work there.

The biggest obstacle between this dream and opening day is the upfront cost of starting a coffee business. Espresso equipment, permits and licensing, initial inventory, supplies, branding, signage, and the many other expenses involved in getting a stand ready to operate add up quickly.
