Help Save Savi Jade After Smoke Inhalation
Our world changed in an instant.
Our beloved cat, Savi Jade, is only 5 years and 2 months old. She is a beautiful Savannah-Bengal mix with a playful personality, boundless curiosity, and a heart that has brought so much happiness into our lives.
After suffering smoke inhalation, Savi Jade was rushed to the Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), where she began fighting for her life.
The first few hours were terrifying. We didn't know if she would survive. The only thing that mattered was getting her the medical care she desperately needed.
The emergency team immediately began intensive treatment. Over the next several days, Savi Jade spent more than 53 hours in an oxygen cage because she couldn't breathe safely on her own. She required continuous IV fluids for nearly 60 hours, around-the-clock hospitalization, emergency X-rays, ultrasound imaging, extensive blood work, pain medication, antibiotics, and constant monitoring by critical care specialists.
Every one of those treatments gave her another chance to keep fighting.
As anyone who has experienced a veterinary emergency knows, that level of care comes at an enormous cost. Savi Jade's emergency hospitalization and treatment totaled $10,525.13 and we paid the bill because there was never a question—we would do everything possible to save a member of our family.
Savi Jade isn't "just a pet."
She greets us when we come home, follows us from room to room, curls up beside us at night, and somehow always knows when someone needs comfort. She has been with us through life's happiest moments and hardest days. Her playful antics, intelligence, and unconditional love have made her an irreplaceable part of our family.
