Recently, Gabriela received a life-changing diagnosis: glaucoma. Known as the "silent enemy of vision," glaucoma is a degenerative disease of the optic nerve and a leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. In its early stages, it presents no painful symptoms, yet it gradually narrows the field of vision until—without proper treatment—it can lead to total vision loss.
In Gabriela’s case, the disease has already reached an advanced stage in her left eye, so every day counts.
