Cancer Warriors' Battle Against Financial Strife

🌟 Hey there! My name is Randy Lewis, and I'm stepping up today with a heart full of gratitude but also, an urgent plea for help. 😓

You know, life has this way of throwing curveballs when you least expect it. My wife of 18 yrs said her final goodbye to us—a cruel twist in the tale that no one should ever have to endure. And that's not all; we've had three more dear souls snatched away by cancer since then. 😢In the turmoil of dealing with losing her I have become disabled myself and can no longer work. I am now diabetic .I have lost bone in my foot..I've had to have a pce of my collar bone removed..I have severe back issues including 2 bulging disks ..a retro slipped disk..spinal stenosis and arthritis all the way up my spine.. I spent 3 yrs in and out of casts trying to save my foot ..luckily the amazing wound care specialist i was seeing was able to accomplish that.

It feels like I'm walking through a fog of grief and financial burden, trying to hold on while drowning in debt from medical expenses incurred during those painful times. My mother fought bravely against pancreatic cancer until the very end—another chapter sealed with an unbearable goodbye. 🙏I lost my father and step-father in the same day within 12 hrs of each other also from cancer related issues.

Now here’s where it gets real personal: In taking care of our loved ones, I've had to take out a second mortgage on my home just to keep up with mounting bills and debts. The weight of that burden is crushing; not only because of the financial strain but also because of the fear of losing everything—my house, which has always been more than bricks and mortar for us. 📉

My son, who's seen me through some of these darkest days, deserves to have a normal teenage life unshackled by our family’s struggles. He needs his first car but can't even fathom getting one amidst the financial chaos we find ourselves in. 😔 I'm currently paying out so much we're barely surviving on what I draw a month.
