Dear friends,
We are reaching out to you today following a tragic event that occurred at our center in Pucallpa, Peru.
For years, the Casa de la Madre Ayahuasca retreat center has been a place of healing and transformation for hundreds of people. After the death of its founder, Cielo Tierra, in 2023, the center remained closed and gradually deteriorated.
In 2025, Limbert Gonzales—a renowned Amazonian artist and close friend of Cielo—decided to take over the place. Everything needed to be restored. He invested his personal savings, devoted months of hard work, and brought the center back to life with a strong vision: to make it both a place of healing and a vibrant cultural space, notably through a painting school he created for the children of Pucallpa.
At the end of 2025, after immense effort, the center finally reopened its doors.
But on the morning of February 9, 2026, five men broke into the center by forcing the locks, taking advantage of the absence of staff. They completely ransacked the premises.
Everything was taken:
– the center's equipment
– furniture
– doors and beds
– art supplies
– Limbert's family's personal belongings, including those of the children.
What they couldn't steal was piled up in front of the center and left in total chaos. Neighbors alerted the owners, but it was too late.
Today, Limbert, his family, and his team are facing an extremely difficult ordeal. After months of financial and human investment, they have to start all over again. They must deal with sadness, anger, and incomprehension, while seeking concrete solutions to rebuild.
The funds raised will be used to:
• replace essential equipment
• repair structural damage
• repurchase the equipment necessary for the center and workshop to function
• cover the legal costs of taking legal action.
Without outside support, it will be almost impossible for them to recover.
Limbert is deeply committed to his community. Through his painting school, he passes on the Amazonian artistic tradition to children and offers them a space for expression and hope. The center is also dedicated to welcoming people who want to do deep therapeutic work with indigenous healers who work with plants such as Ayahuasca.
By supporting this campaign, you are not only financing physical reconstruction. You are helping a family, a team, and a community to continue a meaningful project.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
Limbert and his family.
Everything the thiefs could not take with them was left on
the road in total chaos:

Our main lounge (and classroom) before and after the looting :

They even removed the doors!
