Due to financial challenges for the organization, The Steel Yard's full time staff have agreed to a partial furlough for up to a month. This choice ensures that none of our staff will be laid off, but means the staff will be working for significantly reduced pay. This fundraiser is to offset the impact of that furlough, and make sure our staff can still cover their rent, bills, and other necessary expenses.
Our team has been hard at work despite the income loss, trying to creatively problem-solve to save The Steel Yard from closure; now we're asking for your help to keep the staff from taking this financial hit. All money raised will go directly to impacted staff. If we raise more money than we need to make up for the lost income, the remainder will be donated to The Steel Yard.
