Kim Rodrigue is a young mother of two beautiful boys, living in Chapleau, Ontario with her fiancé Paul. This young family has been courageously dealing with the many ups and downs fighting Cancer for well over a year.
Kim was diagnosed with rectal cancer, aggressively progressing to stage 4 in the summer of 2020. She has undergone, many surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments for nearly 2 years. Her recent PET scan showed that her aggressive cancer had unfortunately spread again. Her medical team in Canada is currently at a stand-still on treatment plans. Other treatment options are being explored at a clinic in Tijuana, Mexico. Kim has had consultations with Drs. and plans are set in motion for her to undergo non-toxic alternative treatments for 3-weeks at this clinic in Mexico. There are personal stories from family and friends that have gone to this clinic and have been cured. After exploring all options in Canada, and plenty of research on this clinic in Mexico, Kim has personally expressed that it is her best option at this time.
Being out of Country, these treatments are not covered under OHIP and is estimated to cost the family 50-75k. Loans have been taken out by the family. All fundraising initiatives and events will go towards helping relieve the family from the financial stress and help Kim focus on her continuous and courageous battle with cancer.
