I don't know where to even begin. There is so much i could say and so much that we have been through and it would take me pages to write it, but i'll try and summarize.

Yesterday was the most terrifying day of my life. My brother was arrested. My little brother, my strength and biggest supporter, my other half, my heart. It is all so surreal and it pains me to even think about it. But it's our reality now. My brother Marko, a former Arizona Correctional officer, Sheriff's deputy of Alexandria and a part time US Marshal, a man who chose and dedicated his life and career to this country and a very dangerous calling, an honest, caring, loving, loyal and hard working man who had put his life on the line every day was arrested for alleged marriage fraud.

We grew up in Serbia, lived through the war and Nato bombing, poverty, lost our father very young, but then came here and became US Citizens.

Marko married his childhood friend from Serbia 7 years ago. We reconnected with her a few years earlier and to our surprise she lived here in the US. After a few visits and numerous phone conversations he decided to move to Virginia from Arizona to be with her. They had a decent marriage for a few years, but then it got messy and unfortunately they decided to end it four years later. She was here on a work visa when they got married so naturally after they got married they applied for a green card for her. Considering that their marriage didn't work out and they decided to get divorced, they notified the immigration that they won't be proceeding with the green card process.

A year later, we found out that he was being investigated for a false marriage. It's been two years since then, and nothing ever came out of it. He did lose his job because of the ongoing federal investigation, but even though humiliated, disappointed in the system he strongly believed in, and somewhat discouraged he chose to move forward.

Every lawyer we spoke to encouraged us that these allegations are just that. And that we shouldn't worry.

Until yesterday. He got arrested and it seems that not only the lead investigator has a personal vendetta against him, but the very young eager to earn his place prosecutor as well.

We cannot believe what's happening to us right now, it all seems like a bad dream. We've been through so much already and never given up, always moved forward, no matter the hardship or tragedy we encountered. Worked hard and made something of ourselves, as our father would have wanted us. My brother is the most caring, loving, fun and hard working person I know, and us being very close, this hurts that much more.

My heart is breaking and I am going to do everything possible to help my brother.

The funds I am asking for will be used for legal fees as this will cost over $100,000, and I don't have anywhere near that much. I've exhausted most my funds trying to help him get back on his feet after losing his job and trying to figure out what all these allegations could mean.

Please help me save my brother, help me prove that he is innocent and only guilty of falling out of love with his wife.

Every dollar counts and will be very much appreciated as I get my brother back. He is half of my heart, half of me, and I cannot let this injustice take him away from me, our family, friends and community that he is a huge part of.

I am a very proud person and never ask for help. I'm the one that always have a solution and is there to help others. It's taken a lot of desperation to come here and ask for help, but i love my brother more than anything in this world and i will do everything i can and need to help him. So i'm asking you to please help him and I will be eternally grateful to you for giving us a chance to fight and prove his innocence.
