¿Who i am?
My name is Diana Carolina Chacón Alviarez I am 29 years old, I
am Venezuelan and was diagnosed with a Giant Cell Bone Tumor, on the
right proximal shoulder, since November 08, 2016. In these eleven
months the tumor has grown rapidly and expanded.
Impossible in my country
Since that date we have been visiting hospitals, doing very
expensive studies; without having a favorable answer. The first
treatment was made in the city of San Cristobal - Tachira Venezuela,
where only preliminary studies were done and the case was referred
to the Oncological Hospital Padre Machado in the city of Caracas,
which we had to visit repeatedly. After the biopsy result, where no
malignant cells were detected, we are informed that it can not be
operated on at this medical center.
A new Hope
After this news we look for other ways, we achieved with great
effort and support of all my family the transfer to the city of
Havana in Cuba, where by favor of the Minister of Health I am being
attended since August of this year.
Me Now, and what do i need
We have recently been informed that the tumor is not operable,
that it has branches of veins and arteries that make it impossible
to extract, and that the only possibility to operate and save my
life is to reduce the lesion with a treatment of 24 doses of
Denosumab of 60 mg. (or otherwise 12 of 120 mg.), to apply 1 dose
every 28 days. This treatment (chemotherapy) is the only proven hope
and this medication is very expensive and is not available in
Venezuela or Cuba.
Denosumab 60 Mg cost about 530 USD we need at least starting the treatment. we need about 12.000 USD for the Whole Treatment. Please Help. Give me the hope of life.
