Tyla Carey, please support her Dream.

Hey everyone, my name is Rick Carey and my Daughter is Tyla. You may know both of us from background acting in Haven,  Mr. D. and other  Nova Scotia screen productions. You may also have seen us in plays with the Chester playhouse, the Chester Drama society, or the South Shore Players. Tyla has been Involved with theater and acting since she was in preschool and now she is attending the American Muscial and Dramatic Academy in New York, a four year program resulting in a degree in 2018.

Tyla's mother and I are working very hard to ensure that she has everything she needs to achieve her goals in life. The schooling is very exspensive and in US dollars so we could use some help with that part. We are providing her with tuition and housing and living expenses which amount to over $50,000 US per year and it is a four year program. The Arts are underfunded and it is increasingly difficult for performers to get the education they need to succeed.

We would like to fundraise $10,000 US to help her continue on to the third and fourth years of the program. She is living a very frugal life as a student and all funds raised will be used for tuition only.

We are asking for help in this endeaver from groups or individuals who can contribute funds or share this campaign with those who can. Donations need not be large and any amount will help us help Tyla. As her parents we are doing all that we can to give out child her dream, we wish we did not have to ask for help and it is humbling to have to do so. The performing arts community gives us so much that we do not realize. Singers, Dancers, Musicians, Actors, all provide us with the spice of life and make us better for it.
