My name is Alana and since I was three I have been interested in the medical field. I always dreamed of being able to follow a doctor around or take science classes to learn hands on. Understanding neuroscience, human anatomy, DNA sequences and all that stuff was not just for older kids. Right? I was told if I work hard and put my mind to it I can do anything.
Well I am on the high honor role, I am my class representative, I play the saxaphone, I have done a few plays at church, and I go to school on Saturday's at TeenSHARP. So I have been putting alot of effort in to get where I want to be in life.
When I applied and got into this program at Brown University I was hoping for a Scholarship. Yet when I found out funds for the program were gone I was devastated. After all that excitement and happiness I was let down. So I thought "well, it was a nice idea at first but I guess I can't do it all." Being the person I am that sounded like something that never comes out of my mouth. So with some help from my mom, I was able to find some websites like this one for me to raise money for tuition and transportation to go! When I learned about Fundrazr I decided that I would maybe give it a try.
It will be an awesome experience to finally dive into questions I have desired to answer and explore with other kids who want the same thing! So please support me! Thanks You everyone!
