The St. Francis Community High School Class of 1989 has established a memorial scholarship fund in loving memory of our friend and classmate Kari Milliken Gilliland. All are welcome to contribute. You are welcome to make an annual contribution as well (more details to come on that).
This memorial fund provides financial assistance for SFCHS senior(s) who can demonstrate the following: active community involvement, leadership achievements, extracurricular activities, and academic achievements. We anticipate a minimum $500 scholarship provided each year in Kari's name to a SFCHS senior(s) who will attend college or a university.
Please disregard the deadline for contributions. The fund will continue after the deadline. We will move the funds to a dedicated local bank account to administer the scholarship and continue to receive contributions. You are welcome to make an annual contribution to the fund as well, so that the scholarship fund can grow and provide larger or more scholarships over time and we will provide more details on that as we have them.
More to come as we make arrangements with a local bank and discuss this with Kari's family.
Thanks for your generous contributions.
