Please help me in my efforts to hire an attorney that has the experience and knowledge to bring my son's case back to court for a fair chance at freedom.

My son is Josiah Hernandez, he is 29 years old and has spent the last ten years of his life in prison. His parole hearing date is in January of 2034. He was only 18 when he took a plea bargain of 30 years to life, for shooting another man in the arm. This was the biggest mistake he has ever made and he didn't have a violent history. The sentence he was offered was disproportionate for the crime he committed. He was incarcerated the day after the incident occurred and HIS BAIL WAS SET AT FOUR MILLION DOLLARS, and when we asked for a bail reduction that was more reasonable, the Judge denied the request. For two years he was fighting this case with a Pubic Defender who had no desire to sincerely help him. Because of his age and not having the means to hire an attorney, the Judge and District Attorney manipulated him into taking the deal, using unethical and unfair tactics. His constitutional rights were violated and he was simply R AILROADED.

Josiah has seen more than his share of the horrible things that occur, on a regular basis, in prison. He has paid for his crime in so many ways. During his time spent in prison, Josiah has grown into a very spirtual, most respectful, extremely patient and calm young man. He has always had a kind heart. He keeps to himself, and wants nothing to do with any of the violent and criminal activities that occur in prison. He has so many qualities I have not seen in any other man, and he teaches me these things, on a daily basis.
