After praying vigorously on the night of Sept 4th. Our Father allowed my babies to come home. Early morning Sept 6th 2014 my kids were arrived in Florida with their mother from Charlotte, NC. All four had visible malnutrition and the younger two of the four were worse. Dontre (in pic) was the worse of them all. Even the pic to far left doesn't show how bad of shape he was in when he arrived. I took that pic after we attempted to give him fluids and food, then his color started coming back. Dontre and Tasean were both admitted to the hospital for about a week. Dontre was in ICU for his duration with a long list of problems. After 2 blood transfusion and excellent care from Sacred Heart Hospital, he came home for 2days. Then he was admitted for a week and a half! Blood in his urine was the cause and finding the cause was a serious task. Tasean's immune system was weaker and took longer to recover than his brother, so was his stomach, even though he looked stronger than his little brother. Dontre ate burgers and pizza before Tasean could eat any solids. Health isn't the only issue, their mentality is a major issue. Full recovery will take some time.
Long story short, this tragedy took us by surprise. It has been a struggle running from doctor appt to doctor appt, counseling, frequent trips to and from school to console the kids when they are inconsolable. We are overwhelmed at the moment and we want the kids to have a wonderful year. Each day that passes by they tell us something that comes to mind and we hear things that would make your blood boil! We just want them not to worry and to know everything is safe. These kids have missed out on holidays, birthdays, and many other events. We can not get back the priceless time they missed, but we can make sure this will never happen again. Please help us restore their childhood. Thank you for your time.
