As many of you know my family’s story already, you know that we have had quite the year of heartache with the loss of my sweet son Greyson at only 5 weeks old due to SMA and the loss of my Grandfather who my brother was closer to than I, and then my Brother and his children lost the love of their lives, his fiancé Tachnee.

My brother is a Tattoo artist who has had his world shattered and when your world falls apart it is hard to get up and do the things you once loved. For me, I couldn’t imagine going back to work after my son passed away, it has been 10 months and I still couldn’t imagine doing anything other than raising my step daughters and trying my best at running a household.

My Brother counted on his passion to pay the bills and right now he just can not! He has never asked for help and he would give the shirt off of his back to help even a stranger in need.

Joshua Farmer is one of the most incredible loving people I have ever known. He and I live a state away from each other and when he found out my son Greyson was sick he drove straight up to Oregon from California just to meet him. My son passed away a few days later. My brother asked me if there was anything I needed and I said, “You, I need my brother.” He and Tachnee and their dog lou were up here so fast I couldn’t believe it! He was here for Greysons memorial and not only in support for us all but he was the one to lead the whole memorial and I could never repay him for his strengths.

My brother, Tachnee, children and myself all went on a vacation of a lifetime this past June. I am so grateful they invited me and I got to have that experience with Tachnee as she passed away on August 20th 2014.

Joshua was hiking on Mt. Whitney at the time and I had to get an emergency note to him to call me. He found the note left in a place the rangers knew he should see (when given his itinerary) and he hiked miles to a station to call… worst phone call of both of our lives! To hear the pain and shock in my brothers voice I could see how dark his world just got!

My mother and I were already on our way down to California to get to him as he called. We wanted to get to him as fast as we could after we heard the news!

I wish everyday that I could be there for him more than I can be. We live 800 miles from each other and I just wish there was more that I could do for him!

A fellow tattoo artist that didn’t even know my brother heard his story and got the community together for this upcoming weekend in honor of Tachnee and to help support their fellow community member and his children! They are putting a Fund Raising Event in Honor of Tachnee. I am so speechless to how that makes me feel, to know that there is such good left in man kind makes me want to be even that much better of a person!

Friends have heard my expression on wishing to be there but financially it is just not feasible so I have already had an outpouring of support in helping me get down to my Brother and his children in time for this weekend. I thought that if I started this fundrazr then any contributions over flight fare would go to the main cause. Being a supporter to my brother is priceless and I wish there was more that I could do, and who knows maybe this story will reach enough people so inclined to help that I can be there to not only support him but to also help him financially and in some way repay him for being the best brother on earth!

I am already beyond grateful for everything so many has done for our family whether it be meals, talks, support, a shoulder to cry on, your prayers, positive thoughts, sweet little mementos to so much more!

Bless you all for all the support.
