My daughter Torrie is a junior at Lake Central High School.  She has earned acceptance in the Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Language (IUHPFL) to travel to Saumur, France this summer.  Torrie is a hard working student.  She is a French III Honors student.   She is an Scholar Athletic and an Academic Letter student. Torrie is challenging herself with four AP classes this year.  A hurdler on the LC Track team, she also volunteers weekly with TOPSoccer and participates in the Academic Superbowl.  In my eyes she is an amazing daughter and a focused and determined student.  This is an excellent program to help her master fluency in French while learning about French culture and customs.

The program is a full immersion program.  Torrie was selected from hundreds of applicants to participate in the program through an extensive application process.  During her time in France she will stay with a host family while attending classes that will include grammar, culture, phonetics and conversation.  She will also participate in singing, theater and sports. 

As a senior Torrie will continue with French taking AP level French, with the help of her French teacher, as AP French is no longer offered at LC.

The IUHPFL program cost is about $6,150 (still waiting on the final cost of her flight).  I am working to make this trip possible for her, but seek sponsors to help offset the expenses.  Even the smallest donation will help her on her journey.  I would be grateful your willingness help her on her journey.  Unfortunately, donations are not tax-deductible as it going to an individual.
